Collin Doyle's script is phenomenal.

Hi,
I’m Collin Doyle, a Canadian playwright and actor living in Edmonton, Alberta.
I’m currently working on four new projects. Let the Light of Day Through: A New Musical is an adaptation of my play Let the Light of Day Through, which I’m writing with composer Matt Graham. As part of the Citadel Theatre’s Playwrights Lab, I’ve been writing a large-cast play titled The Riverside Seniors Village Theatrical Society Presents: William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. My play for teens, Signs, will be produced in March 2026 by Concrete Theatre. I’ve also begun writing a new one-person show, Albee: A Celebration of Life for My Cat.
My plays are about how people survive tragedy, how they forgive others and themselves, and how change may be possible. And if change is possible, I’m always exploring how human beings achieve it.
I’m interested in the dynamics of relationships—between families, spouses, loved ones, and friends—and how those dynamics change over time. In my plays, the characters are asking who they were, who they are now, and who they want to be.
I believe theatre is an interaction—an agreement—between the actors and the audience: they breathe together, laugh together, find humanity together, and live together for a few hours in a dark room. It’s why theatre matters. It’s why I write plays.
Thank you for visiting.
